In cooperation with Polish colleagues, Baltiklaas examined, calculated and deliberated on the most suitable time and place to invite architects to a glass-themed seminar at the Tartu Construction Fair. No sooner said than done – as the Polish team had promised to send life-size samples, it seemed a good idea to not just hold a seminar but also set up our own fair booth and demonstrate our products to trade fair visitors. Our customers also became better informed – many probably hadn’t seen certain products for themselves.
As the fair booth was located in the design hall, we had to think carefully about what to display – after all, an ordinary glass window unit might not be the thing that would wow people. In cooperation with the Poles and Lasita Aken, the following products were selected for display at the fair booth:
The fair itself went well. Visitors stopped and gave our interesting products a look, and a number of them had questions and took reading material with them. It’s unlikely that private customers will contact us with queries about such specialty products, but since every piece of glass needs a frame, installation and configuration, raising awareness among end customers is a very important aspect – as a result, people know what to ask for instead of a typical double- or triple-glazed unit. Our own clients also increased their knowledge level as they probably had not seen some of the products before in real life.
